Who we are

Today’s God Story (“we,” “us,” or “the ministry”) is a faith-based platform that collects and shares personal testimonies of how God has moved in people’s lives. We are not a for-profit business, and we never sell or rent the information you share with us.

What we collect

When you share a story with us, we may collect:

  • Your contact details— first name, last name (if you choose to provide it), phone number (if you call, text, or want a follow-up), and email address.
  • Your location— city and state, only if you choose to share them.
  • Your story content— the words you type, the voice recording you make, or the audio you upload.
  • Technical metadata— the channel you used (web form, phone call, text, email), the time you submitted, and your consent choices.

We do notuse third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or behavioral profiling on this website. We don’t need to know which other sites you’ve visited.

How we use what you share

Your story may be:

  • Reviewed by our small team— every story is read or listened to by a real human (usually Judy) before anything is published.
  • Processed by AI tools we host ourselves— voice recordings are transcribed, and written or spoken stories are summarized and tagged so that we can organize the archive. The AI tools we use for this run on infrastructure we control. Your story is never sent to OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or any other third-party AI training set.
  • Published in our archive— only if you gave consent at submission time and only after a human reviewer (Judy or Ryan) explicitly marks it for publication.
  • Shared through our other channels— such as our email newsletter, social media, podcast, or print compilations — again, only after explicit human review and only if you consented.

If you submitted anonymously, we strip identifying details before publication. Even with consent, we may anonymize at our discretion to protect you (for example, if the story names someone else).

What we don't do with your story

  • We do not sell your contact information or your story.
  • We do not share your contact information with third parties for marketing.
  • We do not feed your story into AI training datasets — ours or anyone else’s. The AI tools we use process your story to summarize and tag it, but they do not learn from it or store it after processing.
  • We do not run automated decisions that materially affect you. Every publication is a human choice.

Where your data lives

Story records and submitter details are stored on a private database we operate in Germany (hosted with Hetzner). Audio recordings are stored in encrypted-at-rest cloud object storage (Cloudflare R2). Access is limited to the two ministry administrators (Ryan and Judy). All connections are encrypted in transit via HTTPS / TLS.

How long we keep your data

We keep submissions indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them, because part of the ministry is preserving testimonies over time. If you change your mind — about whether your story should be public, or about whether we should hold it at all — email stories@todaysgodstory.com with your name and the approximate date of submission, and we will honor your request within 14 days.

Your rights

You can, at any time and at no cost:

  • Ask us what information we have about you.
  • Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong.
  • Ask us to take a published story down.
  • Ask us to delete your information entirely.
  • Withdraw consent for future use without affecting use that already occurred under prior consent.

Email stories@todaysgodstory.com with your request. Please include enough detail (name or email at submission, approximate date) for us to find your record.

Children

We do not knowingly collect stories from individuals under 13. If you are between 13 and 17, please ask a parent or guardian to submit on your behalf, or to confirm consent at the time of submission.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how we handle your information, we will update the “Last updated” date above and post a notice on this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
